Madrid Highlights Diversity and Coexistence

A recent gathering in Madrid brought together community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, promoted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, placed emphasis on education, prevention and dialogue as tools against prejudice. The meeting included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers shared personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how education can strengthen coexistence.

Throughout the gathering, participants addressed themes such as human rights, cultural identity and respect for differences. Fundación Mejora framed the news eureka initiative with Scientology’s emphasis on ethical values and community improvement. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity contributes to democratic life when supported by education and dialogue.
